Job Description

• Develop and implement the bank’s investment strategy aligned with overall business objectives.
• Lead the management of investment portfolios, including asset allocation, risk assessment, and performance monitoring.
• Identify new investment opportunities to optimize returns while mitigating risks.
• Monitor market trends, financial markets, and economic indicators to adjust strategies as needed.
• Set investment policies, limits, and guidelines for risk management.
• Underwriting, and other capital market transactions
• Build, lead, and develop a high-performing investment team.
• Foster a culture of excellence, compliance, and ethical investing.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and training for the investment team.
• Ensure all investment activities comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Implement robust risk management frameworks to safeguard the bank’s investment portfolios.
• Liaise with regulators and internal auditors on investment-related matters.
• Provide regular investment reports and recommendations to the Board of Directors and senior management.
• Work closely with other departments, including Corporate, Finance, and Risk Management, to align investment activities with bank-wide objectives.
• Represent the bank at industry events, investment forums, and with external partners.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree or MBA preferred).
• Professional certifications such as CFA, CAIA, or FRM are highly desirable.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in investment management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a commercial bank or financial institution.
• Proven track record of successful investment portfolio management and strategic investment decision-making.
• Strong understanding of local and international financial markets, regulations, and best practices.
• Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
• High level of integrity and ethical standards.
• Outstanding communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proficient in investment analysis tools, financial modeling, and portfolio management software.
